The producer-turned-director revealed at an awards function that the sequel to the blockbuster Salman Khan starrer is almost all set to go
Dabangg has bagged all the kudos at the sixth edition of the AXN Action Awards. But that’s not where the good news ends for Dabangg fans. Oh, no. Arbaaz Khan let it slip during the show that pre-production of Dabangg 2 is in full swing and that the first draft of the script is ready. So it won’t be long before we see Chulbul Pandey battling it out with Chhedi Singh’s evil brother…ooops, that is one cat out of that bag, isn’t it! Now that’s really quick, considering that it’s not even a year since Dabangg released on July 23, 2010. Arbaaz Khan isn’t the only one hurrying up with his sequel. Sajid Khan has already begun shooting for Housefull 2, the follow-up to Akshay Kumar’s only hit last year. The Khiladi recently tweeted, ‘’HouseFull 2′ round 1 is complete.Its been a blast guys.2 my co-stars who i adore,u’ve made dis trip unforgettable.’ And Riteish adds his bit with, ‘HOUSEFULL 2 first schedule comes to an end. Was a dream come true to share screen space with Mithun da n Rishi Kapoor. So much to learn.’ Looks like these guys have figured out one thing – a sequel will work better if the audience is still interested in watching the first one. Especially if you want to make a franchise out of it. So guys, bring it on!
