Tollywood film director VR Pratap (52) is no more. He passed away at a Hospital in Hyderabad on Monday (4th July) evening, after a prolonged illness. He was suffering from cancer since few years. His full name is Vankineni Rathna Prathap.
VR Pratap debuted in Tollywood with Nagarjuna’s blockbuster movie "Nuvvu Vastavani" in 2000.He also directed Jr NTR’s debut film as hero titled "Ninnu Chudalani".
VR Prathap has also directed Naalo Unna Prema with Jagapathi Babu and Gajala, Swamy with Hari Krishna in the leads. His last directorial was Gorintaku (2008) with Rajasekhar and Meera Jasmine, which was a good hit. He directed total 5 films in his career.
After Gorintaku, he was away from the films due to illness. He is survived by wife and daughter
